For those who've not kept a sharp eye on the daily mortgage rate index this week, I'm thrilled to tell you that home buyers are in a great position RIGHT NOW to take advantage of lower home prices and lower interest rates. Falling more than a quarter point since yesterday, 20-year rates offer a desirable blend of a relatively low interest rate and smaller monthly payments. The rates assume a borrower has a 740 credit score and is borrowing a conventional loan for a single-family home that will be their primary residence. The rates also assume no (or very low) discount points and a down payment of 20%. (Fox Business).
