Growing & Satellite Family
Feel good about the move to Tiburon as its school district is comprised of three public schools and one private school within a very short drive of your new home. All of them have been recognized as "California Distinguished Schools" and continues to be considered one of the best school districts in the nation. They share the services of a psychologist, a speech and language therapist, an information services coordinator and assistant, part-time aides for limited English-speaking students, a school nurse, and a district health specialist. Residences of Tiburon are fortunate to have their kids attend Redwood High School, nationally ranked and recognized as one of the premier high schools in the nation, with some of the State's highest test scores, rates of graduation, and college acceptance.
After-school programs are available through the recreation departments in Belvedere/Tiburon and Corte Madera and through Tiburon Peninsula's Soccer League, Softball League, and Little League. Childcare is available through the near-to-you Belvedere/Tiburon Child Care Center.
Picture yourself showing off your town to foodie friends from the City and beyond. Just a brief drive from your new home, and with no parking stress, you'll find casual yet world-class healthy and unique restaurants, most located on or near the waterfront (sidenote: all Tiburon restaurants eliminated trans-fats from their menus). You'll enjoy celebrity chef Michael Mina's Bungalow Kitchen, The Caprice, Tiburon Tavern, Servino Ristorante, Petite Left Bank and more. In fact, you could eat out seven days a week and never leave your quaint village!
If you're not ready to go home, why not enjoy an intimate cocktail on the water, or consider a short walk from dinner to Cinelounge Theater, featuring digital projection and luxury seating along with beer, wine and bites, including dessert! Known for its mission to expand cultural awareness, Cinelounge hosts the Tiburon International Film Festival, an annual event which seeks to provide a greater understanding of the world through the artistic medium of film.
You'll never grow bored in your active community! In May, Tiburon hosts the annual Tiburon Wine Festival. With stunning views, world class wines from over 60 premiere wineries, live music, a fabulous silent auction, and complementary cuisine from over 20 restaurants and chefs, the Tiburon Wine Festival is an exciting event. The fun continues from May through September with Tiburon's Friday Nights on Main, a much loved community tradition. Main Street is closed to traffic for the evening and local restaurants set up tables and food booths outside, creating a warm, inviting venue in which to enjoy live music and wine and dine al fresco. These fun-filled evenings are a great opportunity to mingle with friends and family. In December, Tiburon throws a Holiday Festival featuring live music, Santa for the kids, shopping, dining, and family activities, all benefitting local charities.
